‘Are You Volleyball?!’ to attend Cinema Verde Int’l Filmfest

 Iran film ‘Are You Volleyball?!’ has been scheduled to attend the 2019 edition of Cinema Verde Int’l Environmental Film, Art Festival in the US.

According to a media report, the flick is to represent Iran at the competition section of the American film event.

Directed by Mohammad Bakhshi, ‘Are You Volleyball?!’ tells the story of a group of Arab speaking asylum seekers who have lost their pacifications during the war and are seeking a better place in the world to live in. They arrive on the border and the story starts.

So far, the short film has succeeded to attend a number of internationally acclaimed film festivals including, the 19th edition of Ojai International Film Festival in California, the 18th edition of the Yari Iranian Film Festival in Sweden, the 13th edition of Batumi Film Festival in Georgia, the 25th edition of Adana Film Festival in Turkey, and the 4th edition of the Regina International Film Festival in Canada.

Cinema Verde's mission is to provide environmental education to the public through film, arts, workshops, events, tours and any other forum or media; to increase public awareness of environmental practices that enhance public health and improve quality of life in urban, suburban and rural settings.

The 2019 edition of the event is slated for February 14-17, Gainesville, Florida, The US.
